Note to self: Never send Kiran to school in cargo pants again. These were all the "treasures" she brought home yesterday.

carnival
Took the girls to the carnival tonight and all the grandparents joined. Had a great time!
The ladies' first ride: the train.
Amara enjoyed it, which could not be said for any of the rides to follow...
Chillin'.
Kiran riding her green motorcycle.
Our favorite carnival game. Kiran has played this one before...
Amara's a winner, too!
Amara watching her sister on a ride.
Amara getting ready for her second (and last) ride.
"Are you sure about this, carny?"
"I hate this so much, Mama!" You are SO going a crappy nursing home when you are old!"
Watching her sister on a ride again. Very concerned this time.
Kiran driving the train (and ringing the bell incessantly).
Bud and Kiran loving the helicopter. I tried to get Amara to ride with me, but she threw a tantrum.
This is Amara kissing the ground after I let her out of the helicopter. Poor thing.
Being pregnant is awesome sometimes.
Taking a break.
Serious about her dinner.
Sweet little fire fighter.
Fishing.
Mama offered to take Kiran on the ferris wheel.
I'm hiding it well, but I'm convinced we're going to die. Look at all that rust!
Kiran yelled, "I can see everything!" every time we got to the top. She was obviously not as distracted by the structural integrity of the ride as I was.
Poppy with his fairy wand. :-)
Amara finally found an activity that suited her: double fisting lemonade.
Big slide with Bud.
Big slide with Bud again. And again. And again. :-)
Two-headed grandmother watching the roller coaster.
Kiran loving the big kid coaster!
Love that face.
Hands in the air and wind in her hair. Life is good. :-)

Build-A-Bear
Took the girls to Build-A-Bear today. All the sparkly party dresses in the world for their bears, and they chose Spiderman and overalls...

Swimming
Hangin' on and hangin' out.
Proud of my little swimmer -- all by herself in the deep end with her swimming face on.
They only let him out of the office occasionally. And when they do, this is where you'll find him.
But nothing will get Richard out of the float faster than a 16-month-old who decides she's ready for the diving board.
Yup, she's doing it.
First jump!
Kiran didn't want to be outdone by her little sissy, but she's old enough to have a little fear. I'm pretty sure this is the moment when she lost all trust in her dear old dad.
...But she did eventually jump.
And Amara continued throwing herself off the board like a maniac.
Back in the low end for some flying.
And for some jumping. Kiran did get a few good jumps off the wall, but she's still a little nervous. On this attempt, she told me, "I better save my energy for tomorrow."

B's and T's
There's a reason we changed Amara's nickname from Amara-B to Amara-T. The "T" stands for "trouble," "terror," or "tornado." She looks every bit of her "T" in this photo, and I love it.
Awww, but there's still some sweet little Bee in there, too.

Glow-Stick Bath
This glow-stick bath was an idea I stole from Richard's cousin, who did this with her little girls. Love it!

Solo Photos
It's rare that I get to play with either one of my ladies one-on-one. But, for various reasons, it's happened now twice in two weekends: I got to play with Amara solo last weekend and Kiran solo this weekend.
Last weekend, I tried to do a photo shoot with Amara to mirror one I did with Kiran two years ago. Bee climbs on EVERYTHING, so I was sure she would climb on the chair just like Kiran did. Nope. She had bigger trouble to make...
"I'm not doing anything wrong, Mom, I promise."
"Uh, oh."
Okay, so much for the chair idea. But, surely, I thought, I'll get good pictures if I bribe her with cookies. Nope. All I got was this face, which I think means, "If you take these cookies away from me, I will cut you."
The trick with Bee is to never make it formal. The best shots of her are when she has no idea it's happening.
And then there was Kiran this weekend. Always a ham. Today she learned to climb a tree!
