For Amara's birthday, we found ourselves in North Carolina for Uncle Jeff's green beret ceremony. Here are a few shots of Amara and Kiran wearing their red, white, and blue before and during the ceremony.
The birthday girl holds Dada's hands!
The birthday girl playing with Dada.
A hug for the birthday girl.
Keeping busy during the ceremony by flapping the program.
Big sissy keeping busy during the ceremony by putting stickers all over herself.

Snow!!
It finally snowed enough to go out and play in it!
Both girls like to be pulled on the flat ground.
But they kept falling off backward...
Kiran likes eating snow.
Amara just likes chillaxin'...
...But then she decide to try to crawl, which got snow on her hands, which she didn't like one bit.
Dada and Kiran sledding.
Just like on the big slide at the County Fair, Richard is cool as a cucumber and Kiran is having fun.
But when it's Mama's turn, things are different. So far so good at the top of the hill...
...But then comes the abject terror...
...And that awkward moment when Mama realizes that both she and Kiran are going to die.
We survived!
Kiran, little Miss Independent, insisted upon dragging her own sled up the hill. I thought by now she'd be whining for us to do it (not that I'm complaining).
Amara enjoyed tasting snow...
...until her big sissy decided to help with a giant mitten-full. Go little sissy -- check out that self defense stiff-arm!
